TRAC Make in-Roads on Travelodge Deal

Halesowen-based air conditioning experts TRAC have partnered with engineers at Hartel BMS to carry out installation work on the back of a deal struck between Travelodge and Anglo Holt Construction earlier in the year.

Anglo Holt of West Bromwich won a combined £35m tranche of hotel work for the budget hotel group following a spate of contract wins. The new business comprised instructions on new Travelodge sites from Torquay to Edinburgh.

Hartel BMS were drafted in to handle the engineering side of things, part of which involved the installation of air conditioning equipment from TRAC.

“We carried out five projects for Travelodge in consultation with project managers at Anglo Holt – all of which required the fitting of air conditioning from TRAC”, confirms David Hartel. “We have completed installation work at two sites in Edinburgh, including the Edinburgh Learmonth due to open on 30 December 2008, as well as Scarborough and Torquay. A fifth project in underway.”

TRAC Managing Director Ian Lowe says he is delighted to have been asked to supply the air-conditioning units for Travelodge’s new fit-outs. “Obviously, it is thrilling to see our products feature in the new-builds of the UK’s leading budget hotel group”, he adds. “And the hope is that we will continue to attract similar interest from other clients of scale within the leisure space.”

TRAC Ltd supply and install commercial and residential air conditioning units in home and office environments across the UK. TRAC products are designed utilising the latest air conditioning technologies from suppliers such as Mitsubishi Electric. All installations are carried out in strict accordance with CDM health and safety requirements.
