Local Cool Cats

A Redditch cat owner has created a cool cat conservatory with the help of TRAC.

Paul Thompson decided to install a residential air conditioning unit in his conservatory for the benefit of his five cats in preparation for a possible bird flu epidemic.

Paul explains: “With the potential for bird flu reaching our country I wanted to ensure that I had a comfortable living environment for the cats in case I had to keep them indoors in the hot summer months. My house is in a semi-rural location and therefore we get many birds in the region, especially around the water areas, so the cats could be at risk of catching the disease.

“TRAC have previously provided me with units in my bedroom and lounge and I have been extremely happy with the systems. I initially met with various air conditioning companies but there was no contest as TRAC won my favour by a mile. They not only took my requirements seriously, they also gave me very useful suggestions about where to site the condenser unit which was something I hadn’t thought to consider.

“As we are experiencing such hot summers, having these units in the home has been fantastic and the cats have been spending many an hour basking in the conservatory.”
