Kingsthorpe Golf Club Established for nearly 100 years, Kingsthorpe Golf Club based in Northampton is not like many other clubs in the UK, due to the fact that it is solely owned by it’s members. Over recent years the club has become extremely popular, which has put a strain on the facilities. It was therefore decided that a new clubhouse should be built using the expertise and experience of… you guessed it, the members!

Not only did the members have to build and design the clubhouse, they also had to project manage the activity as well. Mr Steve Rodwell, a member at the Kingsthorpe Golf Club, had the task of overseeing the whole project from design to completion. He did however have a little help from Birmingham based air conditioning specialists, TRAC, who were asked to design and install air conditioning and ventilation systems throughout the whole site.

TRAC installed fresh air ventilation to the ground floor changing rooms, as well as heat pump air conditioning and comfort cooling units into the first floor bar area. After a hard round of golf it’s good to catch a cold drink, so TRAC installed a cellar cooler to the beer store too, ensuring beverages can always be served at the right temperature!

The renovations of the clubhouse are now complete and the members are overjoyed with the final result.
