Floors-2-Go Choose TRAC Floors-2-Go plc is the largest real wood and laminate flooring specialist in the UK with more than 140 stores around the country. The dynamic company, set up in 1999 as a family business in Birmingham, has expanded over the years and floated on the Alternative Investments Market in 2004.

More than 25 people work at the company’s head office close to Birmingham City Centre where all the central operations are handled.

When portable air conditioning units became unsatisfactory at head office, the company looked into the possibility of installing a complete air conditioning system throughout. As a midlands based company Floors-2-Go wanted to use a local firm for the installation and they soon found Trac’s details, as IT manager Hardeep Chana explains.

“There were actually quite a lot of local companies to choose from however we found Trac’s details via their website and liked what we saw. We soon set up an initial and were immediately impressed. The team from Trac looked around the premises and devised a comprehensive plan outlining the units we would need.

“In addition to us being impressed with the actual air conditioning, it was also important we could develop a strong working relationship as on going maintenance would be required and we also predicted further installations in the future.”

This was a correct prediction as Trac recently installed a full system at Floors-2-Go’s warehouse in Oldbury.

Floors-2-Go chose the Mitsubishi units which produce both hot and cold air depending on the temperature requirements.

Hardeep concludes: ”Trac continue to provide us with an excellent service. During both installations there was minimum disruption and our employees could continue working as normal. The team has a specialist knowledge of working with large offices such as ours and I would happily recommend them to my business contacts.”
